'Marvel Vs Capcom: Infinite' New Gameplay Trailer And Details Revealed

Fighting game fans were reportedly delighted when Capcom surprised everyone with the release of the "Marvel Vs Capcom: Infinite" story trailer. Along with the new video, gamers got to see some of the new characters that will be added to the roster like the Hulk, Rocket Racoon, Strider Hiryu, Chun-Li, Hawkeye, Thor, Chris Redfield and Ultron. It was obvious that fans wanted more information about the latest crossover fighter and possibly some gameplay videos as well.

While some footage of "Marvel Vs Capcom: Infinite" in action was prematurely leaked, it was reportedly just some raw footage of several matches. However, the developer finally released the official gameplay trailer showcasing the new fighters. The final lineup of fighters are not yet fully revealed, says Game Rant, but the official gameplay video shared by Capcom gave players a preview of how the tag and combo system might work. Several gamers noted that the graphics might not yet be final as well as some of the on-screen UI.

Despite making an appearance during the story trailer, Rocket Racoon was notably absent from the gameplay videos. Sources suspect that the character's moveset might not yet be complete, or perhaps Capcom wants to hold back on a couple more of surprises before E3 2017. A couple of reportedly leaked characters were also absent from the story and gameplay trailers. According to a report from Gamenguide, Dante from "Devil May Cry" and Frank West from "Dead Rising" were rumored to be part of the roster for "Marvel Vs Capcom: Infinite".

Another important detail that fans are curious about is the control scheme for "Marvel Vs Capcom: Infinite". "Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3" featured a button layout with dedicated assist buttons and three attack buttons. According to Event Hubs, the newest installment will feature four attack buttons, which are light punch, light kick, heavy punch and heavy kick. The fifth and sixth buttons are assigned for tagging and activating the Infinity Stones.

"Marvel Vs Capcom: Infinite" also features a new counter switch move that allows players to tag in their partner to disrupt the combo attacks of the opponent. It can be performed as long as the player has at least two stocks of their super meter available. The Infinity Stones also grant players their respective Infinity Surge attacks and when fully-powered, players can unleash the Infinity Storm abilities of their equipped Infinity Stone.
