Players Can Now Hunt For Pokemon In ‘ARK: Survival Evolved’

In “ARK: Survival Evolved”, players can now hunt for 30 different Pokemon in the game like Rapidash and Alakazam. All thanks to mod Mystic Academy who changed the creatures into actual Pokemon that players can hunt in the game. Anyone can get this mod by just installing the “Pokemon Evolved” mod.

“ARK: Survival Evolved” allows players to create mods in the game and actually makes it more interesting for everyone. In the past couple of months, loads of new content has already been added in the game and this includes dragons and other interesting creatures. Now, Pokemon has joined the fun and gamers just can’t get enough of them.

Mystic Academy’s mod quickly became a hit which is probably also the reason why it caught the attention of a DMCA claim or Digital Millennium Copyright Act. According to reports, the claim requires the mod to remove the Pokemon in the game but was recently lifted and allowed the mod to continue in the game.

Sources say that the claim to remove the Pokemon in the game wasn’t actually from Nintendo. It is believed that the complaint was from another mod who was also planning to add Pokemon in the game and Mystic Academy probably released his mod first. Fortunately, the claim didn’t push through and players today can still download the mod and hunt for Pokemon.

All the Pokemon in the game were based on “Pokemon X/Y” with minimal alterations and only as needed in the game. For this reason, it wouldn’t be impossible if a claim from Nintendo will be filed in the future. Nintendo is known for their strict approach in copyright infringement and intellectual property theft so the new mod may be really taken down in the future. But until then, players can continue to enjoy Pokemon hunting in the “ARK: Survival Evolved”.
