‘The Sims 4’ PS4, Xbox Release Date, News & Update: Game To Arrive Next Year?

“The Sims 4” is the latest edition of Electronic Arts (EA), Maxi’s and The Sim Studios famed life-simulation video game and the wait right now is to see if there will be a version coming for game consoles, particularly the PlayStation 4 or the Xbox One.

Previous versions have seen a bump to the game console sector and the wait for “The Sims 4” could be done by next year. This is if the report of Crossmap is to be believed though it would help if EA or Maxis could render an official statement to back up the claim.

For now, there is no definite word if such will happen despite the demand of gamers to be able to play the popular life-simulation game on a different game console. The only way that “The Sims 4” can make the transition is only once EA or Maxis are able to find a way to port that game into the PS4 or Xbox One.

If EA and Maxis are indeed having trouble coming up with a version for the two consoles, it will break down the trend of seeing another version other than the PC. Its predecessor, “The Sims 3”, launched in 2009 and saw its game console versions follow in 2010.

Doing the math, game developers should have already come out with a version for the game console niche considering “The Sims 4” made its way out back in 2014. Could another year of waiting be feasible?

The outlook doesn’t look good with game developers seemingly placing their focus on DLCs for the PC version. The latest one, “The Sims 4: Dine Out”, has been made official and is set to come out on June 7.

The new add-on will allow sims to eat out in restaurants which should open up possibilities for gamer entrepreneurs a chance to try their hand out the dining business in the simulated environment. Aside from that, players will have the option to create unique recipes as well like Volcano Pasta and Jungle Moss Egg with Lavender Wisps.

As for the gaming console availability, there is nothing certain for now. There is still time but it may all boil down to what EA, Maxis and The Sim Studio have on their plate.
