“Star Wars” is one of the most influential franchises in both the movie and gaming industry. After the disappointing “Star Wars: Battlefront,” EA is giving it another try at reaching the audience and satisfying gamers’ expectations. Here are the most notable news related to the game that was released in the last few days.

GameRant
reports that the “Star Wars: Battlefront 2” site has gone live. Even though it is accessible, it does not offer much information to visitors. Except for the game’s logo, there is a short message visible, that the first official trailer was released on April 15, 2017 during a special “Star Wars” event in Orlando. There is also a small logo visible, which is expected to hint at a single player campaign. In the first “Battlefront” game, there was no proper single player experience introduced, which made a lot of the buyers feel cheated. Probably now, things will be different.

Kotaku shares the leaked “Star Wars: Battlefront 2” trailer. In it, viewers are introduced to a nameless Empire officer, who witnesses the explosion of the second Death Star. She says that she still remembers her mission, which will bridge the story between the sixth and seventh movie. Other good news related to the game’s content is that there will be content from all “Star Wars” eras. In the trailer, Darth Maul, Yoda and Kylo Ren are revealed as just a part of the characters which will make an appearance in the game. Apparently, EA has taken a note with gamers’ complaints that the first game did not offer enough content outside of the original trilogy.

Gamespot reveals some of the expectations fans might have from “Star Wars: Battlefront 2”. EA’s Blake Jorgensen has stated that “Battlefront 2” will have bigger and broader worlds and will also feature content from the new “Star Wars” movies. Other statements shared by Blake Jorgensen include a new “Star Wars” games being developed by Titanfall creators Respawn. The only thing known for the new project is that it will be a third-person action game. “Star Wars: Battlefront 2” is expected to be released later in 2017.
