4J Studios has revealed that they have submitted Title Update 14 (TU14) for Minecraft and are working with both Sony and Microsoft to stomp out any last remaining bugs. This means that if all goes well it could be released any day now- the sooner the better for the millions of players on the Xbox 360 and PS3 editions of the insanely popular game who are eagerly awaiting what's next.
This is a hugely anticipated update, that comes with a list of changes so enormous that they require their own threads on Minecraft's official forum. You can find the thread containing changes to the Xbox 360 version here and the PS4 version here.
As you'll see there's just a massive amount of additions, from items like Emeralds and Baked Potatoes to Night Vision Potions and Carpets, alongside all sorts of game fixes, plus new Trading and Anvils interfaces that will offer completely new modes of play. A recent screenshot showed off the brand new user interface, how the trading system works and a few of the brand new food choices.
As you await the update you can download the recent City Texture Pack for the Xbox 360 edition for a mere $1 (€0.95 / £0.65). That will give you all need for a sprawling cityscape, all the better once you add the recently-released Marvel Avengers Skin Pack and are able to recreate superhero antics all around the city of your choice. PS3 owners hoping for texture packs of their own will have to wait for TU14- 4J Studios says they're trying to release one or two texture packs alongside the update.
