'The Crew' Gameplay Trailer Released, Game Release Date Set For This Fall [VIDEO]

Need That Perfect 'Fast and the Furious'-like Video Game? Check Out This First Gameplay Trailer for 'The Crew'

If you're like me, you've probably been waiting your whole life for that perfect "Fast and the Furious simulator" video game. They tried making a licensed game, and it sucked. Some of the Need for Speed titles did a good job (Underground and Underground 2 come to mind), but none of them ever got it quite right.

Well, The Crew looks like it could finally be that game, and IGN has the first look at the new open-world racer, including news that it will be releasing this fall for PS4, Xbox One and PC.

The trailer shows a bunch of different cars and a bunch of different locations as the drivers "crew up" to go explore the world together.

New York City, Maine and the Appalachian Mountains are shown initially with a beautiful custom-painted red Mustang. If the creation mechanics that they showed in the first part of the trailer are accurate to what actual gameplay will be like, customization enthusiasts will be in for a treat.

We next see our Mustang friend team up with (I'm pretty sure) a yellow Porsche 911 and evade some cops over some train tracks. Those two then team up with what appears to be an orange Dodge Ram.

Then we see even more locations to explore in Mount Rushmore, a Texas oil field, Los Angeles Harbor and Monument Valley as the cars get gradually more and more jacked up. And lastly, we get a look at what I believe is an all-new Lamborghini Diablo. We then zoom out to a view of the entire US (with what appears to be player indicators scattered all over the place), and the trailer ends.

Crazy. Crazy, crazy, crazy. Clearly the car lineup will be fantastic, the map will be enormous, and the ability to "crew up" with other players should make this unlike any racing game before it. Count me in, because this is the Fast and Furious game I've always wanted.

Check out the trailer below, and let us know how excited you are for this new driving bonanza.
