The Last of Us Remastered For PS4 Graphics Comparison to PS3 Shows a Big Difference

Curious Just How Much Better The Last of Us Looks on PS4? Take a Look At This Comparison

Yesterday we got our first look at The Last of Us Remastered for PS4 when Naughty Dog released the "launch trailer," which was basically the studio giving itself a hand for winning Game of the Year a bunch of times.

But there was one shot of the remastered game in there, featuring Joel and Ellie checkin' out some giraffes while leaning on a ledge. Well, NeoGAF user Bunta has gone ahead and compared the ledge from the trailer with the ledge from the original PS3 version, and the difference actually is pretty stunning.

As you can see in the image above, the formerly flat-looking moss on the ledge now actually looks pretty mossy in the trailer. They added some ivy on the rocks, and the rocks just looks more... rock-like.

My only complaint? It seems like to make Joel and Ellie look more realistic they just decided to soft focus the crap out of them. Maybe that was just for the trailer, but based off of Bunta's comparison I actually like the original Joel and Ellie more than I like the new one.

What are your thoughts on this new comparison? Or are you just content to sit and play your PS3 version while the PS4 people wait? Let us know in the comments, and check out the full comparison image below.
