Destiny Character Classes Receive Awesome Teaser Trailers Displaying Their Unique Play Styles

Bungie's Destiny project is highly anticipated, but it's safe to say there's a lot we still don't know about the multiplayer RPG-shooter hybrid. Three videos have been released giving us brief glimpses of the character classes Titan, Warlock, and Hunter.

All we had to go on until now regarding these classes were short lore-based text descriptions, which do not stand up to videos of them in motion. Each class now has its own teaser trailer, below, from the official website. They are pretty short as I said, just 30 seconds of footage set to some pretty dramatic music, but it's definitely the best look at the differences in the classes that we've gotten so far.

The Hunter, as you might have guessed, is a Rogue-style character based on stealth and agility. The video emphasizes a lot of movement and quickness, with hit and run abilities and constant movement looking like they key to success with this class.

The Warlock is aptly named as well, serving as the "magic"-wielding class that uses powers and spell-like abilities to destroy enemies. There is a surprising amount of focus on aerial attacking in the video for the Warlock--the character is often seen launching projectiles from above, or jumping down while firing spells at opponents below. This might just be a stylistic choice for the video, but maybe the Warlock is best played by attacking from above.

Unfortunately, the Titan is not a giant mech warrior like you would see in Titanfall, but he looks formidable nonetheless. The Titan is your up close and personal class, shown using many melee or close quarter abilities to destroy enemies from right in the thick of things.

All of the classes look equally fun to play as which you can see in the videos below, and I'm sure we'll be hearing more as the game's September 9 release date approaches.
