Batman: Arkham Knight Release Date Discussed by DC Comics

DC Comics Talks Batman: Arkham Knight's Release Date

No doubt video game and comic book fans alike are at the very least intrigued by Rocksteady's upcoming Batman project, Arkham Knight. But when you factor in the game's website not featuring an exact release date, meaning that retailers' listed release dates are likely just placeholders, nobody's quite sure when to expect the game that's set to conclude Rockstsady's adventure with the Batman franchise. And whisperings at this year's WonderCon have only served to confuse the issue further.

During the con, an Arkham Knight trailer was shown to the audience, and there seems to have been some mis-communication between the presenters and staff. Bleeding Cool reports that at the trailer's conclusion, DC reps were heard to say, "this is no longer a 2014 project, but a 2015 project." Not good. But now, there's this report out from Furious Fanboys, retorting, "That’s not what happened at he panel."

"DC showed the Blur Studios’ CG trailer for Arkham Knight, which earned a lot of cheers and applause. It was pretty loud, so you can’t blame someone for not hearing what came next, but it wasn’t an Arkham Knight delay."

"While people were applauding and cheering, they specifically say that Batman: Arkham Knight would be released later this year. After that statement is what most people didn’t hear, and they said to prepare for the return of Injustice. The 'not a 2014 title' statement applied to the new Injustice, not the Batman sequel. No other details about the new Injustice, such as who is developing it, was revealed but it is apparently on the way…just not this year."

Feel better? I know I do, but now I'm also intrigued by this Injustice: Gods Among Us sequel...

We'll keep you posted on both projects as more information comes to light.
