New 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' Trailer Shows Donatello Up Close, and It's Not Good [VIDEO]

Well, Michael Bay Ruined Donatello; The New Turtles Trailer Sucks

There have been two main Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles trailers - a theatrical trailer and a TV spot - and both of them have shown roughly the same thing. Well, don't get too excited about the third one, either. It shows more or less the exact same stuff from the first two trailers.

As a matter of fact, it even uses the exact same voiceover, and at least 80 percent of the same footage. Kind of disappointing, really. I can understand the first TV spot being more or less the same footage, but a new trailer is supposed to show all new stuff.

If you watch closely, you can see a little better views of Raphael and Donatello. Raphael looks pretty similar to Leonardo, as he should. Donatello... he looks like a freakin' clown, man. He has broken tortoise shell glasses fixed with tape (GET IT?! TORTOISE SHELL!) and what looks like a jewelry inspector's headset. But hey, at least Michael Bay paid homage to an '80s classic... wrong series there, Michael.

So maybe there was a lot in this new trailer. Before this trailer came out, I actually had a little bit of hope for this movie. After I just saw Donatello... yeah, I'm not as hopeful now. The turtles are all supposed to look the same, except for different colored masks and a signature weapon. I could have dealt with the Leonardo, Michaelangelo and Raphael designs - they're huge, but ultimately they look pretty close to what they're supposed to look like. But once you start putting glasses on a turtle, that's where I cross the line. Not to mention the random Beats headphones and cameras all over his shell.

Anyway, I'm done ranting. Watch for yourself and let us know what you think of this new trailer below. Also check out our screenshot slideshow by clicking START above or below.
