'Titanfall' Expedition DLC News: New Screens For 'Parkour Playground' WAR GAMES & SWAMPLANDS Maps Revealed [VIDEO]

New Screens Show Off Titanfall's DLC Maps: Swamplands, and War Games from Upcoming Expedition Pack

New pics are out today off of developer Respawn's official Titanfall site, showing some lovely views of the new maps that are on the way courtesy of the forthcoming Expedition map pack, the first of at least three "Drop Pod" pieces of DLC promised.

Making Your Own Titanfall Titan: Cardboard and Patience

You can see a mash-up of the images above. At the top of the collection are the latest shots of the "parkour playground" that is the War Games map. As such, I can't help but wonder if that yellow "grid" wall will appear and re-appear, owed to the map's "Matrix" qualities as a simulation, and maybe even an homage so the jumping puzzles in old school games like Mega Man, and its accused disappearing blocks.

Respawn's Geoff Smith and Jason McCord had previously detailed both the Runoff and War Games maps, so if you want to know more, follow the links. But we've yet to hear much on the Swamplands map. As the name and pics allude to, it's obviously a lush, jungle environment, and we've been led to believe that pilots will be able to run across, hang, and even climb to the top of the map's overgrown flora.

With Respawn so eager to provide details, I predict it won't be much longer until they offer similar details for "Swampland," just as they've done with "Runoff" and "War Games." As soon as that happens, we'll let you know. Players get access to the maps when Expedition drops later this month. Season Pass owners get the DLC for free, but everyone else will have to fork over $9.99.

Easily one of the more anticipated titles to debut this year, Titanfall released on Xbox One and PC in March, and arrived later on the Xbox 360 in April. Future additions to the game are planned, and there's already talk of a sequel.
