'Sherlock Holmes Crimes And Punishments' Game: Players Must Use 'Detective Skills' To Work Six DIfferent Cases [TRAILER]

Confirmed! Sherlock Holmes: Crimes And Punishments Is Coming to Xbox One, Here's a Trailer To Celebrate

Frogwares studio has confirmed that Sherlock Holmes: Crimes And Punishments will be coming to Xbox One, joining their previous announcement for the game's release on PS4, PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. Now you're in luck no matter what platform you own- unless, of course, you own a Wii U. Then no one can help you, not even Watson.

Call of Cthulhu Game On The Way From Sherlock Holmes Developer

Alright, this isn't an adaptation of BBC's hit Sherlock show and doesn't feature everyone's favorite Holmes with the silliest name, Benedict Cumberbatch, but Frogwares has been making Sherlock Holmes adventure titles for quite some time now and this is their first nex-gen title. Crimes & Punishments will offer you six different cases to work, allowing you to use Sherlock's talents to guess an individual's life story just by observing him, or reconstruct a past event by checking out a crime scene. Nothing gets past Holmes' eye.

"Crimes and Punishments arrives at a very unique and exciting time given the recent phenomenon of Sherlock Holmes in the United States," said Christina Seelye, CEO of Maximum Games. "It's not enough to say that the game will be popular among fans. More than that, Crimes and Punishments gives players a chance to embody the character they respect so much. Instead of merely watching Sherlock's amazing abilities, players are dropped into scenarios where they must use their detective skills as Sherlock would."

Shadowgate Remake Gets Stunning Gameplay Trailer & Release Date

As you can see from these new screens, the game looks gorgeous, and there seems to be a nice variety in crime scenes. This one's apparently at a circus, which should make for some fun conversations. The new in-game "deduction board" that lets you figure out what happened looks like a blast as well, seeing as it's actually Sherlock Holmes' brain

Expect Crimes & Punishments to hit early September 2014, although the game will be previewed at E3 and we will do our best to get our hands on it. Check out the latest trailer below!
