This 'Game Of Thrones' Opening Credits Mashup With 'Super Mario World' Is Perfect [VIDEO]
"Game of Thrones" is a hard thing to escape these days, and faced with the possibility that the man behind the works could keel over long before any of his characters do, fans are eager to figure out the fate of Westeros and its many inhabitants. The ever growing popularity of the TV show has attracted a wide variety of fans, which include some truly talented and creative folks, leading to some pretty interesting mashups. As the opening for the show is ever changing, this will have to be updated over time, but for now, it opens with the Master Sword from The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past as a stand in for the show's spinning astrolabe. From there, Yoshi's Island, Vanilla Fortress, Ludwig's Castle, and the waters surrounding the Sunken Ghost Ship and entrance to the Valley of Bowser standing in for King's Landing, Winterfell, the Wall, and the Narrow Sea respectively. And note the tongue slurping Yoshi in place of the fire spitting dragon, an especially nice touch. Check it out below!
Doubt the authenticity? Then check out the side-by-side comparison, and just try to find fault. I dare you.
