'Dragon Age Inquisition' News: Beautiful New Looks At Detailed Fortress of Adamant [SCREENS]

Check Out The Latest Screens From Dragon Age Inquisition!

Dragon Age Inquisition is about to step up their updates on the road to E3, releasing frequent screens and blogs that will detail everything you need to know about Bioware's upcoming RPG.

Dragon Age Inquisition Release Date Announced

Today they have sent over some location screens from The Fortress of Adamant. If you had any doubt how great this game is going to look, throw that doubt away. Even the locations look utterly fantastic- it's amazing how they managed to make even a wasteland look this impressive.

In the game's lore the Fortress of Adamant was built to stand against the darkspawn spilling out of the nearby "Abyssal Rift" and it worked- the Grey Wardens fought back and kept the beasts at bay. But as time passed people forgot and the whole land became a wasteland, and they soon were pressured to close the fortress. They left it, sealing the gates and leaving the griffon statues to guard it.

Bioware Discusses Companions, Romance and Dragons In Inquisition

If you want to brush up on your history of the Grey Wardens and the Darkspawn there's a new blog out that details the backstory, and it's pretty compelling reading even by itself. Check it out here.

"The First Blight had already raged for 90 years. The world was in chaos. A god had risen, twisted and corrupted. The remaining gods of Tevinter were silent, withdrawn. What writing we have recovered from those times is filled with despair, for everyone believed, from the greatest Archons to the lowliest slaves, that the world was coming to an end."

Expect much more on this game in the coming months, including our thoughts from their presentation at E3.
