Are we finally going to get to see some gameplay footage from the upcoming PS4 exclusive The Order: 1886? It looks like it's coming, and soon.
The Order 1886 is Single Player Only- PS4 Exclusive Doesn't Need or Want Multiplayer
Today Sony has announced a big, mysterious reveal of a gameplay trailer for an upcoming PS4 game, and readers were quick to notice that the logo hidden in the background of the image was from The Order. Today, at 1:00pm Pacific Time (4:00 EST, 8:00 GMT) they will host a live twitch.tv presentation of the game at twitch.tv/playstation.
Developed by Ready at Dawn (Okami, the God of War PSP titles), The Order: 1886 is an interesting beast. It presents an alternate history London where King Arthur and his Knights were much more important in history, as they were the ones who fought off a race of half-breed monsters who had started taking over the world around the eighth century. Through discovering a liquid called Black Water thata extended their lifetimes (until 1886!) and gave them remarkable healing abilities, they managed to fight back against these beasts- but they were still losing the battle. It's not until the Industrial Revolution hits and men starts inventing things such as Zeppelins, wireless communication and electricity that they truly begin to fight back, but the humans are being kept in martial law, and the city of London is forced to contend with lower-class dissenters as well. So yes, a little steampunk, a little class warfare, and monsters- what's not to like?

The one thing that's obvious from the game is how beautiful it looks, even from the tiny glimpses we've seen so far. Perhaps The Order: 1886 could be the PS4 exclusive that Sony so desperately needs in order to keep people flocking to their system.
