'The Walking Dead' Season 2 Episode 3 Vita Release Date Announced, 'In Harm's Way' Coming Very Soon In North America & Europe
The latest episode of Telltale's The Walking Dead Season Two: Episode Three: In Harm's Way finally has a release date on PS Vita, hitting Sony's handheld on June 3 in North America.
The European release will follow the next day, though both launch dates are several weeks behind the releases on other platforms. That marks an improvement for Vita owners however, as the first season was delayed by months on the handheld compared to the PC and console versions.
The story is getting increasingly dark in Telltale adaptation of the hit TV series, which is saying something considering some of its previous moments. I won't give away any details or spoilers, but the narrative that has made the game property successful should continue to pull at your heartstrings.
There are two more episodes planned for release this season, mirroring last season's five-episode arc. It will be interesting to see how many seasons Telltale wants to keep this up for before it feels like they're beating the franchise to death. It's a slow burn with the episodic releases, but will the impact and enthusiasm be the same after several more seasons?
The studio also has several other properties in development at the same time, including a Borderlands game we have seen some of already, as well as a Game of Thrones title that's in the early stages of development. Both of these, like The Walking Dead, will tell their own stories with new characters within the same universes established by the main narratives from the original properties.
