The recently-delayed FIFA 14 update that would add a World Cup section to Ultimate Team has partially released, putting out only the World Cup Kick-off portion of the free new content.

Both the World Cup Ultimate Team and Kick-off modes were supposed to launch together yesterday, but EA announced that they would be pushing back the release to fix some issues and put out a better product. Only the offline version of Kick-off is currently available, however, with the online mode hopefully following soon.
Perhaps most of the issuers were with the Ultimate Team segment of the update (understandable, since it's the much more significant content) since the developers have gone ahead with the release of Kick-off mode first, though they're hoping to get the rest of the update out today.

For those unfamiliar, Kick-off is merely the exhibition, one-off match you would play if you just wanted to sit down and have a game against a friend or the computer. EA has updated the mode to reflect the coming World Cup, refreshing the international squads.
The Ultimate Team mode is getting an entire World Cup section added, with new international versions of player cards, kits, and badges. You cannot take cards from your normal FUT into the World Cup portion and vice versa--international players are only purchasable in the new mode, though card packs will include one bonus gold player card that will go straight to your regular Ultimate Team.
The mode will have its own separate redesigned menus, which reflect the aesthetic of the standalone 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil game. The rest of the update might be out later today if EA experience no further difficulties, so keep an eye out for that news.
