Tanki Online, the massively popular tank simulator, turns 5 today! And to celebrate, developer AlternativaPlatform is treating its 40+ million member community to a week's worth of in game goodies and contests.

Among the swag AlternativaPlatform is releasing is a massive sweepstake that will test players on their Tanki knowledge. Beginning June 4, the developer will release a new video each and every day here and afterwards, Tanki Online players who have registered for the sweepstake will have to answer as many questions on Tanki Online in the shortest period of time possible. The best amongst them stand the chance of winning exclusive prizes. What those prizes are remain to be seen.
For the casual player who may not be enmeshed in the fine details of say, tread traction and artillery distance, AlternativaPlatform will increase the size of one's battle funds as well as increasing the amount of crystals earned in the gold boxes from 1000 to 5000.

The Tanki Online store will also have a number of deep discount sales happening each day.
4th - 5th June: 50% off on all guns
5th - 6th June: 50% off on all hulls
6th - 7th June: 50% off on supplies, XP boosts and pro battle cards
7th - 8th June: 50% off on all paints
8th - 9th June: 50% off on all microupgrades and their boosts
Buy early, buy often. The discounts go into effect at 2 AM BST (British Summer Time), or about 10 PM the night before for those in Eastern Time, if I did my math correctly.
While the game rightly celebrates its past, it is also looking to the future. AlternativaPlatform announced that "a new version of Tanki Online based on the Unity engine is in development. This version will be one of the biggest updates in the game's history. Its launch is expected late 2015."
