'Super Smash Bros 4' Stage Detail Revealed, 'Animal Crossing' Level Features The Roost Coffee House [SCREEN]

Super Smash Bros Pic of the Day Shows off Animal Crossing's The Roost Coffee House

The Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS details will keep coming from Nintendo ahead of the staggered release of both versions, and today is no exception. The title will be out this summer on 3DS and most likely this winter on Wii U, though it seems like we'll have to wait until this month's E3 conference for a specific date.

Aside from the recent reveal of Ike the last major character details came from a Nintendo Direct video, and it's unlikely we'll see anything that significant again before E3.

What we will keep getting are daily updates from Nintendo via the game's official site, which usually consist of a new picture accompanied by a description.

Super Smash Bros. Mushroom Kingdom U Stage Revealed

Today's post is a rather small detail related to an Animal Crossing stage, with series director Masahiro Sakurai choosing to show off an aesthetic feature rather than a new gameplay mechanic, character, or item. Here's his accompanying description of the image above:

"Pic of the day. Brewster brings The Roost back to Smash Bros. Nothing beats watching a battle of famous fighters with a freshly brewed cup of coffee."

Not the most scintillating reveal, though I'm unsure if this scene is part of the already-revealed Smashville stage or a section of another one. I don't think we're getting another Animal Crossing stage, and Sakurai probably would have mentioned that, but The Roost section doesn't show up in any of the past images of Smashville--perhaps it comes and goes.

Keep checking back for more Smash Bros. news ahead of E3, which will hopefully include an early specific release date announcement.
