Rovio 'Angry Birds Transformers' Announced, Lets You Fight 'Deceptihogs' [VIDEO, IMAGES]

So Angry Birds Transformers is a Thing, Now

Rovio just can't stop with its team-ups. In addition to partnerships with companies like Disney for Angry Birds Star Wars, it looks like the Finnish company has just revealed a plan to work with Hasbro, teasing yet another project for the flying fowls: Angry Birds Transformers.

Angry Birds Pokémon Mash Up is the Stuff Dreams are Made Of, and Simultaneously, the Best and Worst Tease Ever

According to a press release, "Rovio Entertainment and Hasbro, Inc. are teaming up again to bring together two of the world’s largest and most popular entertainment brands and their fans. Angry Birds Transformers will come to life in multiple forms, including a mobile game, consumer licensed goods and a product line from Hasbro."

Red can be seen as the Transformers' leader, Optimus, and yellow bird Chuck is decked out as Bumblebee, while the Bad Piggies are disguised as various deceptihogs. Hasbro's Chief Marketing Officer, John Frascotti, confirmed that the birds' and piggies' new identites would release "across multiple formats and entertainment platforms," and not just mobile, "for a completely immersive branded experience."

Why Armor Games Should Be Even More Furious With the Next Angry Birds Title

In addition to the game, Rovio will also (predictably) use Angry Birds Transformers to expand its Angry Birds marketing line even further. Read the release, "Later this year Hasbro will introduce a product line featuring TELEPODS technology which will enable fans to teleport their favorite Angry Birds Transformers characters into the game and gain unique powers. The Angry Birds Transformers franchise follows successful collaborations between Hasbro and Rovio including the Angry Birds Star Wars and Angry Birds Go! product lines, as well as the upcoming Angry Birds Stella TELEPODS line which will be available September 2014."

More details about this new partnership will release via the Angry Birds Transformers web site.

Expect more details on this addition to the mobile hit soon enough.
