'Ultra Street Fighter 4' News: 'Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition' Now Free For Xbox Live Gold 360 Owners [VIDEO]

Easy Way To Upgrade to Ultra Street Fighter 4, As Super Street Fighter 4 Is Free To Xbox 360 Owners

Thanks to Microsoft's Games With Gold program, both Charlie Murder and Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition are free to snag for Xbox 360 owners as of today. Apart from them being great games for free, there's another reason why you might want to grab Super -- it'll get you one step closer to Ultra Street Fighter IV.

What the Reviewers Are Saying About Ultra Street Fighter IV

Ultra Street Fighter IV is available now on PS3, PC, and Xbox 360 for $14.99, but only as a digital upgrade. So only people with copies of the original Super Street Fighter IV and/or the Arcade Edition can get Ultra now, and at that price. Otherwise, you'll have to wait the full digital bundle to release in August, which will set you back $39.99. Simple math dictates you get it now.

And while you're there, you might as well grab Charlie Murder too. The price is right, and a 78 average from aggregate score site Metacritic ain't too shabby either.

Alternate Costumes Revealed for Ultra Street Fighter IV's New Fighters

For Ultra, Capcom has gone back and made specific character balances to each of the game's forty something fighters, but the biggest change to Ultra is be the addition of five additional characters. Four are Capcom favorites who've appeared in quite a few games before -- Hugo, Rolento, and the gender bending Poison all made their debut in the arcade classic beat 'em up Final Fight. Rolento would cross over into the Street Fighter world alongside fellow Final Fight alumni Sodom, Cody, and Guy in the Alpha series, and Hugo and Elena would appear in Street Fighter III. In Ultra, they'll all be joined by newcomer Decapre, a Shadowloo Doll along the lines of Cammy, and Juni and Juli from Street Fighter Alpha 3. More info on each fighter at their respective links.

Apart from the new characters and balances, players will also get new stages, all of which featured in Street Fighter X Tekken: Cosmic Elevator, Mad Gear Hideout, Jurassic Era Research Facility, Blast Furnace, and Pitstop 109.

Ultra Street Fighter IV is available now as an upgrade on PS3, PC, and Xbox 360 for $14.99. And just for reminder's sake, a full disc / full digital bundle will follow on August 5 for $39.99. PC gamers get access to digital bundle on August 8 for the reduced price of $29.99.
