'Batman Arkham Knight' Rumors: Early 2015 Release Date Confirmed By Microsoft Website Posting?

Batman Arkham Knight Release Date Confirmed By Microsoft Website Posting?

It appears Microsoft has announced a release date for Rocksteady's Batman: Arkham Knight, posting a set February 24 launch on its official website.

While it's not an announcement from the developer or publisher, it's also pretty safe to assume Microsoft has an idea what the release date is. It perhaps posted the listing prematurely, strangely, but I can't imagine this won't be at least in the ballpark of the official launch, if not the exact day.

Arkham Knight was originally set for an October 2014 launch, but Rocksteady announced a delay meant to increase the quality of the final product. Following Arkham Asylum and Arkham City, the studio announced it will be the last game in the series it will be developing. Arkham Origins, the most recent and least warmly-received title in the series, was produced by Warner Bros. Montreal rather than Rocksteady.

Kevin Conroy, who voices Batman in the series, recently stated that fans would be playing the game in January. While it's not quite the same month as this February listing, the two are close enough to ensure that if nothing else, Arkham Knight will be a very early 2015 launch.

We got the first look at gameplay during E3, which showed off a lot of the Batmobile in action. It looks extremely slick, and the game is impressive graphically, especially when Batman is gliding around the city. Check it out in the video below, and keep an eye out for an official release date confirmation.
