'Family Guy The Quest for Stuff'' Update: Last Chance To Unlock King Butt, 80s Pop Star Cleveland & Adventure Peter [SCREENS, GUIDE]

Family Guy: The Quest For Stuff: Last Chance To Unlock Characters During First Major Game Event!

Hope you've been collecting all your Moon Idols! Family Guy: A Quest For Stuff's first big update to the game is drawing to a close and it's your last chance to unlock some event-specific characters and costumes. Get on it!

Family Guy: The Quest For Stuff- One Of The Funniest F2P Games Ever Made [REVIEW]

The biggest is a whole new character, King Butt. If you don't collect the massive number of moon idols required to unlock him (100,000!) he will no longer be available. If you do you'll be able to keep raving and dancing with him for as long as you keep playing the game.

Two exclusive costumes will be gone, as well- Adventure Peter (Basically Peter Griffin in an Indiana Jones costume) and 80s Pop Star Cleveland, who looks like Michael Jackson from the Thriller video. This is your last chance to earn these new looks.

Adam West Runs For Mayor. Seriously.

If you haven't unlocked Cleveland yet, don't worry, because you will still be able to unlock him, provided you have the museum built. They couldn't just keep one of the fan-favorite characters from the show from you, but they are going to make it harder. Some of the items you need to unlock him will change, apparently, and the museum will be placed back into your inventory, allowing you to rebuild it in Quahog to try again.

At the end of the event all your Moon Idols will disappear from your inventory, so if you were eyeing any buildings or decorations now is the time to buy them. Those fun items like the Evil Monkey Statue and Lava Hot Tub will never be yours if you don't grab them now.

When the event ends, the pyramid (and whole new district) will go away too, like it never happened.

So this is your last chance to stock up on Moon Idols! The easiest way to get your hands on them is by getting rid of King Butt over and over. You can do this by collecting various "Jelly-Yo" shots until he vomits in his throne, which doubles as a toilet. The more times you do this to him in a 24 hour period, the more Idols you will win. You'll get 150 Idols the first time you do it but each subsequent time your streak will increase- 2x, 10x, 25x and finally, 50x.

Of course, it's very hard to get shots in the first place- you'll get them randomly from Cleveland, Quagmire and Peter, but their actions each take four hours to complete and there's no guarantee you'll get the "Jelly-Yo" flavor you need each time. It's definitely tough and you'll have to stay on top of your phone to make sure you play it every four hours.

Another trick to earn more idols involves using special costumes. Three costumes will earn you double the Idols- S and M Louis, Mermaid Peter, and Goth Chris. TinyCo also updated the game so that any premium characters you buy (like the glorious Brain-Damaged Horse) will also give extra idols for their actions. Tapping on mummies will get give 2 idols for each one you defeat, and friends will allow you to get a handful of more idols, so make sure to make lots of friends who play the game.

We'll be honest- it's going to be very, very hard to earn enough Moon Idols without paying some money or using a few golden clams. The Facebook page for Family Guy: The Quest For Stuff has been under fire for making things too tough on gamers but it is a free-to-play title, after all. Good luck unlocking these items before they're gone forever, and keep an eye out for the next major update, which should be hitting the game soon!
