'Clash of Clans' Update Goes Live At Last

Ladies and gentlemen, it is time. So charge up your mobile devices, grab some snacks and hunker down. It's kind of hot outside anyway, isn't it? The Clash of Clans update is now live!

The update went live at 12:01 this morning and brings a wealth of improvements, balance issues and improved abilities. Many of these are welcomed by the community, but as can be found in our comments section, the players want more.

So, what can you expect when you fire up Supercell's Clash of Clans? Here's just a little taste of the improvements.

DYNASTY WARRIORS: Gundam Reborn Out Now For PS3

Improved King and Queen units - the hero units for villages are being made better, stronger, faster and, most importantly, much smarter. They no longer behave like five year olds and get distracted by enemy troops in shiny armor in some far corner of the town, they will only attack enemies that come within a certain radius of their throne. Additionally, the two heroes now rely more on their Skill attacks, summon a greater number of troops and also have become more specialized in their roles: the King is a hulking Warcraft-esque tank, while the Queen is a nimble DPS dealer, like a Hunter.

Live Streaming - ever get twitchy wondering what your clanmates are up to? Supercell has introduced live streaming and replay so you can better judge your teammates during their battles.

Improved Valkyrie - the Valkyrie, long the girl searching for her role in life, has found her purpose as an axe spinning whirlwind of pain. Her AOE attack can now level a building in no time.

Jump Spell and game balance - previously, the Jump spell helped coordinate troop movements ever so slightly. The new and improved Jump will allow for greater precision of coordination and therefore, a stronger command of the battlefield. The entire patch itself is centered around having more control over your individual units. Your troops will now also concentrate their efforts while banging against an enemy's wall, cutting down on wasted lives and damage.

You can read the full list on the Supercell forums. The update does a bunch, but we all know Supercell can do more. Readers, you've done a fine job telling us what you want to see in upcoming patches. What other ideas would make this game even better? Let us know in the comments below.
