The Legend of Zelda 'Hyrule Warriors' News: Midna, The Twilight Princess, Shows Off Her Skills In Latest Trailer

Fresh off the July 4th break, Nintendo and Tecmo Koei has released another trailer for the upcoming Hyrule Warriors. Grab a look at everyone's favorite Twilight Princess, Midna!

A New Challenger Approaches: Agitha, The Insect Princess

Midna made her first appearance on the Wii's The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. In it, she helps Wolf Link learn to control his newfound powers and guides the player along the Twilight world in the quest to defeat Ganondorf. She quickly became one of everyone's favorite new characters in the franchise and certainly helped make that game one of the greats.

In addition to Twilight Princess, Midna has appeared as various stickers in trophy in Super Smash Bros. Brawl for the Wii and will be an assist trophy in the upcoming Super Smash Bros. for both Wii U and Nintendo 3DS.

Thief Movie Steals Onto The Big Screen

The trailer portrays the devilish imp quite literally laying the smack down. A sorceress by trade, Midna has the power to transform herself into some fantastical creations, such as weaving her hair into a giant hand, or becoming a freaky giant arachnid. She can also call upon Wolf Link, which just like in Twlight Princess, she rides on top of to barrel through enemies. She can even use the hookshot, which she uses in the video to manhandle a dragon like it ain't no thing.

Midna joins Link, actual Princess Zelda, Impa; Zelda's servant; Agitha, the Insect Princess and newcomer Lana, who may as well be a Princess. Lana is the White Witch of Hyrule. The game hits Japanese shores on August 14. Over here in the States, we get Hyrule Warriors on September 26.

Watch Midna whoop some serious butt in the trailer below.
