Not content merely to dominate the world of film, television, games, video games, toys, tie-ins, interactive museum exhibits, comic books in general and costumes, Marvel Comics is looking to branch out into something else entirely: live action, circus stunt spectaculars.

"Marvel Universe LIVE!" is an action packed, stunt filled adventure across the Marvel world. It is jam packed with over two dozen of Marvel's most iconic characters, including the all of the Avengers, Spider-man, Wolverine, and such villains as Electro, Doctor Octopus, Aldrich Killian (from Iron Man 3) and so many more. No bitter disputes between film studios which result in terrible remakes. For the first time, all the Marvel Universe is accessible to people of all ages.
The show debuts on Thursday in Tampa and will then hit 85 other cities across the country. An international tour is planned, but won't be coming to foreign shores until after the national tour, which concludes in 2015. You can find the full list of venues and tickets here.

"This is legacy building," said Tom Marvelli (as an aside, they hired this guy because of his name, right?), Marvel's vice president of global creative services and live events, who expects the show to appeal to both adult fans and their children. "For the first time, they are going to get to see the characters right in front of them, fighting it out and conquering evil."
The plot concerns the Cosmic Cube, which has been featured heavily in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, though it is called the Tesseract there. The Cube has been shattered and now Loki plans to clone the pieces to harness its awesome powers. He enlists the help of Marvel's most fearsome and cunning villains and it's up to the Avengers and company to put a stop to this nefarious plan before the world falls into darkness.
The show will be a non-stop whirlwind of action and excitement, orchestrated entirely by the stunt coordinator for The Amazing Spider-man films. We're all sour on the movies itself, but you have to admit, the action was quite top notch. Yes, there will be men on fire.
The show has been in production for the last two years and hopes to capitalize on the success of the MCU. I have no doubt that it will.
"We saw the success of the films. The characters are so endearing, so relatable and so well loved," said Feld, executive vice president of the Florida-based company Feld Entertainment, which puts on the Barnum & Bailey Circus. "We really wanted to bring them to life and expand our portfolio."
