Marvel Heroclix Guardians Of The Galaxy Expansion Release Date Set For August, All New Rare & Super Rare Figures Coming To Tabletop Game

If there is one thing you can count on at the San Diego Comic Con it's that Marvel is going to come out all guns blazing. They're the industry leader and have influenced everything from comics to tv to films. Now, in anticipation of their upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy film and comic, they're expanding their already robust Heroclix universe!

The film tie in products were released before the holiday break two weeks ago and included six figures with all-new dial designs not found anywhere else. The Marvel HeroClix: Guardians of the Galaxy Movie HeroClix Starter also includes two maps, the HeroClixcore rulebook, the HeroClix Powers and Abilities card, and tokens - everything new and established players need to play.

WizKids will have Marvel HeroClix: Guardians of the Galaxy on display in booth # 3145 at San Diego Comic-Con from July 24-27.

Additionally, post Comic-con, WizKids will be introducing a new Guardians of the Galaxy Heroclix set based on the all new upcoming comic book adventures of everyone's soon to be favorite lovable scoundrels.

The comic based set will include a 5 figure booster box, a Fast Forces Pack, a gravity feed display and an Organized Play kit. With more than 80 all-new figures to add to your collection,
Guardians of the Galaxy has the following rarity breakdown:

- 24 Common figures (plus one Prime figure)
- 17 Uncommon figures (plus one Prime figure)
- 16 Rare figures (plus one Prime figure)
- 12 Super Rare figures (plus one Prime figure)
- 8 Thematic MARVEL VILLAIN ZOMBIES Chase Figures

Because if you don't have zombies in your game, why even bother?

The expected release of the comic Guardians of the Galaxy expansion is around August 13. You'll have seen the film about a dozen times since then, so maybe some more social interaction would be good for you, yes?

Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy hits theaters on August 1.
