LGBT Video Game ‘Pridefest’ Coming Soon Out Of GaymerX: Design Your Own Pride Parade

Good Guys Atari Developing PrideFest, A Gay Themed Social Sim

Atari, a sponsor at this year's second ever GaymerX queer gamer con, is now developing and publishing a social sim for mobile phones and tablets to be released "soon".

GaymerX is a con on the rise, with WWE 2K15's announcement of Darren Young joining the roster happening there, and now the news of the development of Atari's Pridefest, a mobile sim game that will allow players to organize and decorate their own pride parades to keep their cities happy and vibrant.

Players will be able to do quests to unlock more decorations and features for their parades, and chat with friends as well as visit friends' cities and bedeck their avatars with extravagant clothes and jewelry. Might as well go all OUT (hehe).

EA Responds To Sims 4 'No Pools' Controversy

Said Matt Conn (what's in a name), founder of the GaymerX con: "It's extremely important that we see these large publishers like Atari stepping up to the plate, and I'm excited that they have the courage to take the first step in supporting the community."

Atari agrees: "We are excited to be developing Atari's first LGBT-themed game that will give players of all backgrounds the chance to play a fun and unique game that represents a passionate cause," said Todd Shallbetter, Chief Operating Officer, Atari Inc. "We will continue offering a variety of games that are inclusive for all Atari fans and Pridefest is another example of how we are doing that."

No release date or exact platforms have yet been announced. Godspeed, good friends!
