Major Hyrule Warriors Update: New Screenshots Of Ganondorf, Zant, Ghirahim And Bosses; The Master Sword Stage Revealed, DLC Pre-Order Bonuses [SCREENSHOTS]

Hyrule Warriors Gets New Screens Of Ganondorf, The Master Sword Lost Woods And So Much More

The three latest playable characters for Hyrule Warriors: Ganondorf, Zant and Ghirahim, have gotten a wealth of new screenshots showing off their finest, if not most evil. sides.

Mario Kart 8 Gets The Benz DLC Pack

How conniving does the game's villain, the newly created witch Cia, have to be to get these three people, all of whom have done terrible things in the past, to say 'Screw you, lady, I'm joining up with the pointy eared waif and that insect queen.'? In fact, all three have been taken off the Enemies roster and placed solely and firmly with the list of playable characters.

Two new enemies have also been added: King Dodongo, one of the original bosses for the Nintendo 64's The Ocarina of Time. Link, in trying to help Darunia of the Goron, must defeat the giant lizard who has taken up residence in the volcano.

The second villain is Manhandla, the four headed, very large "Petey Piranha" type plant found in many of the 8 bit and DS Zelda games. Players will take on several variations of the mutated Seymour-esque plant, including a metal one!

Additionally, three new stage shots have been added. The first are some iconic locations, such as the Pedestal of Time in the Lost Woods, which houses the Master Sword in many of the Zelda titles, including A Link to the Past.

Two more unidentified stages (the captions are all in Japanese and I have not played that much Zelda in recent years) show off a Rose Garden which features several statues of the different versions of Link. The second is a triptych of three desert locations. Given that Zant and Ghirahim are from Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword, respectively, one would assume that both are levels inspired from those titles.

The other stages, meant for Ganondorf, are a more timeless edition of the game. Ganondorf himself has appeared in almost all of the games in some form or another to date.

Lastly, during Nintendo's livestream earlier this week, we finally got some concrete details on the special editions for each region. With thanks to Eurogamer. The Japanese had already revealed that they will be receiving a Tri-force clock. Europeans can fancy themselves up with a new scarf in blue and red trim, complete with the Hylian crest.

North American gamers can get access to the costume DLC, which unlocks new outfits for both Link and Zelda from Ocarina, Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword. Which one you get depends on which retailer you pre-order the game from.

European players will unlock two Ganondorf costume sets (Twilight Princess and Ocarina) so long as they register the game by October 17 with Club Nintendo, a month after the European release date.
