Super Smash Bros 4 Nintendo 3DS Details: Trophy Gallery Revealed For Viewing Your Collection, Shop Will Let You Buy Elusive Ones

Super Smash Bros Pic of the Day: Trophy Gallery Revealed For Viewing Your Collection, Shop Will Let You Buy Elusive Ones

The Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS details will keep coming from Nintendo ahead of the staggered release of both versions, even after all the excitement from E3.

Powerful Super Smash Bros Weapon Daybreak Revealed

The title will be out for 3DS on October 3, as Nintendo announced at the gaming conference, and this holiday season on Wii U. A specific release date for the console version will likely be forthcoming as winter approaches, but Nintendo has plenty of time to make that announcement.

Several new characters and other details were revealed at E3 as expected, including the unveiling of Lady Palutena, Pac-man, the Mii Fighters and an appearance by Mr. Game & Watch, though he has not yet been confirmed as playable. Even after these major announcements, though, series director Masahiro Sakurai will continue to give us comparatively smaller details through the official site in the form of a daily picture update.

Today's post focuses on the 3DS version, revealing what the trophy-viewing gallery will look like on the handheld edition of the game. You can see a glimpse of it in the above image, which Sakurai accompanied with the following description:

"Here's the trophy gallery for the 3DS version. You can rotate the trophies by drawing circles on the bottom screen. Super Smash Bros. Brawl had tons of trophies, but rumor has it that the 3DS version alone may have more than Brawl. Looks like the Dr. Wily that we made from scratch for the 3DS version is on his knees in disbelief."

He also revealed the existence of a trophy shop (shown in the above image). "If you're having a hard time getting certain trophies, why not just buy them," he says, explaining that the store will also sometimes have sales. Keep checking back for more Super Smash Bros. news each day, where we'll hopefully see new character reveals or a Wii U release date.
