EA Sports has announced that the mobile version of the next Madden NFL title will be coming to the App Store and Google Play on August 26.

Madden Mobile will release the same day as the main console title Madden NFL 15, though there is currently no price announced. It will offer the ability to put together a great team made of players past and present, challenge friends, and engage in new Live Events.

"This all-new NFL experience will allow fans to build a dominant team composed of the league's best talent from past and present. Players can take their squad into head-to-head matchups against friends, play their favorite team's full NFL season or jump into the always fresh Live Events.

"Live Events are quick, fun challenges that will dynamically update throughout the season and beyond. Hop into fast-paced challenges that offer awesome rewards, including new player packs, coins, special players and more."

You can enter in a full 16-game season, and make a run for the Super Bowl, as well. The game features touch analog controls with an action button made (as expected) specifically to play well on mobile devices.

The console version is available alongside an Xbox One console in a bundle for $399, a benefit of Microsoft's partnership with the NFL, which will also see Surface tablets added to sidelines in real life this season. Players and coaches will have the option to use the Surfaces as a replacement for the traditional printed photos, offering both a speed and color upgrade.
