Three Raiden Outfits And Power Variations Revealed In Gory Brawl Against Kotal Khan

Warner Bros and NetherRealm Studios have just released this latest gameplay video showcasing Kano, which of course you all know as the head of the international crime syndicate The Black Dragon, and not "that guy with the robot eye".

In this video he's shown battling the brand new character D'Vorah, who has wings and uses swarms of insects to overwhelm her opponents. She's not much of a match for Kano here, though.

Mortal Kombat X Release Date Revealed At Gamescom, Along With The Return Of Kitana?

Ed Boon is here to explain everything that's going on, including the three variants that each character can choose before a battle. Kano comes with three character variations- "Cutthroat," "Cybernetic" and "Commando."

Cutthroat gives you advanced knife-fighting skills that allow you new combos. Cybernetic Kano gives him long-range weaponry- lasers and bombs, as well as improved defense against aerial attacks. Commando Kano is all about grappling, allowing you to counter all manner of attacks. Then of course there's his brutal fatalities, three of which are (partially) shown in this trailer, one for each playstyle.

It's already clear that the game will give you many more options to choose any character that you like and play them in a style you prefer- the variations are a really clever way of making sure that you try to play as every character and examine those you never would have attempted to play as before. .

Mortal Kombat X is scheduled for release in 2015 for PS4, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC. For more about the game check out mortalkombat.com.
