Activision has just announced that Skylanders Trap Team is coming to mobile devices the same day as it's hitting consoles!

This is the first time a full-featured Skylanders game was made available for mobile devices, and it will be out for iPad, Kindle Fire and Android tablets, delivering the same quality graphics as its big console brothers. What's more- the game will come with its own controller and Traptanium portal that lets you add your own toys into the game and trap enemies with the Trap crystals.
As always getting into a Skylanders game takes a little bit of an initial investment. Here Activision will be selling a Skylanders Trap Team Tablet Starter Pack that includes a Bluetooth Traptanium Portal, an embedded Bluetooth controller, a built-in tablet stand; two Skylanders characters, two Traps and a display tray that lets Portal Masters keep track of the Traps they've collected and which villains they have trapped.

The Starter Pack for the game will run you $74.99, with individual Trap Master toys running $14.99. Core Skylanders toys are available for $9.99 and individual trap toys for $5.99, although the basic starter pack will give you everything you need to play.
If you like you can choose to use touch controls instead of a controller, although the controller will allow you to play it just as the console version.

They are brilliant, aren't they? The previously untapped tablet market is a massive one for their target audience (ie, kids), and bringing them a console-quality experience gives a new option that gamers will undoubtedly flock to.
The Skylanders Trap Team Starter Pack will be available on October 5 in North America, October 10 in Europe and October 2 in Australia, on basically every possible platform.
