Guns, Guns, and More Guns. Max Payne 3 Release Screenshots of Dual Weapons

Max Payne fans who learned about the game's announced delays can find some comfort today.  More screenshots of Max Payne 3 were released by Rockstar Games showcasing Max and co. wielding dual weapons. The latest images give gamers a glimpse of the different weapon combinations and action gameplay that's in store for one of the most anticipated titles this year.  More guns means more firepower, and by looking at the vivid frames seen in the screenshots, Rockstar is looking to inject some more explosions into the trilogy.

Payne is seen firing two  sing handed weapons.  The parings can be upgraded  or combined with more powerful weapons from traditional pistols, to revolvers, and submachine guns.

In the 3rd installment, Max Payne is still pained by the loss of his loved ones. Losing all signs of hope in life he strays into an addiction to painkillers. In order to forget about his past, Payne takes on a gig to protect Rodrigo Branco, a rich estate tycoon.  And this is just the beginning of the story. 

The expectations are high for Max Payne 3, and the new screenshots shows that the game is going in the right direction.   

Fans can pre-order the Max Payne 3 special edition on April 2,2012.  The price of the pre-order special edition is $99.96 on Amazon and it includes the conduct multiplayer weapons pack, a bullet-shaped keychain, the official Max Payne 3 soundtrack, classic multiplayer character pack, original still life art prints. Those looking to just play the game can opt for The Max Payne 3 standard edition which is also available for pre-order.  Release date for Xbox 360 and PS3 will be in May 2012.  PC will trail closely in June.
