FIFA 15 Career Mode Details Emerge From Gamescom, EA Sports Outlines Manager Mode Improvements

The ongoing Gamescom conference has proven a fountain of FIFA 15 information, with EA Sports revealing details about the game's modes alongside new video.

PES 2015 Release Date Announced, Demo Date Revealed

We recently took a look at the redesigned goalkeepers, which should be smarter and more realistic than before with new programming and animations, and the updated Ultimate Team mode. EA Sports has also detailed the new Career mode, which is bringing a few upgrades to a familiar layout.

The new Career mode promises to bring "a more realistic system for player growth and potential" to the game, a system that definitely hasn't been perfect in previous years. The developers say that "highly rated older players won't retire as quickly" and "high potential players grow faster if you give the opportunity to do so." This ideally applies to generated youth players as well, who will hopefully improve on loan this time around (progress mostly stalled before unless playing for your first team).

EA has also added improvements to last year's Global Transfer Network, and scouts will recommend players that fill weak areas of your squad. Tied in to that, the search function has been revamped to make looking for players more streamlined, and player names will populate the list as you search.

A final note from the developers relates to presentation, and they promise "accurate and in-depth analysis around players, team and leagues during the match and throughout the mode." Stay tuned for more FIFA 15 news as its release date approaches.
