NFL Now Launches On Apple TV With Streaming Game Highlights, Original Films: Kindle Fire and Yahoo Sports Versions To Come

NFL Now Promises Personalized Fan Experience

The NFL announced today that it is launching the NFL Now streaming service on Apple TV. The service is promising loads of original content, customized fan highlights and info, as well as the League's vault of old footage and film.

Launched earlier this month, NFL Now is a vast digital network providing on-demand videos of game highlights, press conferences and other content, both produced by the NFL and each of the 32 individual teams in the League. Users can also stream original films from NFL Now, such as A Football Life and Hard Knocks.The network was previously available streaming on Roku, Xbox and online, along with a mobile service available on iOS, Android and Windows devices.

The Apple TV launch is the latest expansion, but the team behind the service has much more in mind. NFL Now will be coming to Kindle Fire, Amazon Fire TV, Yahoo Screen, and Yahoo Sports in the next month, CNET reports.

The idea is to have the service available on as many channels as possible by the time the 2014 regular season kicks off September 4.

The NFL is promising to add 105 hours of original content per week on top of the 400 hours of historical content already available. Users can pay an extra $1.99 per month for NFL Now Plus, which promises more goodies, such as instant in-game highlights.
