Final Fantasy 5 Comes To Kindle Fire

Square Enix Adds To Its Amazon App Store Library With Final Fantasy V

The Amazon App store has expanded its library of RPGs with the addition of Final Fantasy V, out now for Kindle Fire devices.

5 Final Fantasy Games We Want Remade For This New Console Generation

Though this fifth entry in Square Enix's decades-old franchise has been available on the Apple App Store and Google Play, now Kindle users can add the game to their collections as well. Final Fantasy V is the third game of the series that is available for Amazon devices, joining Final Fantasy III and IV.

The Final Fantasy franchise has performed fairly well on mobile devices, finding new audiences more than 20 years after their original releases. The first six numbered entries (sorry Cloud fans, no Final Fantasy VII mobile version just yet) and several of the series' spin-offs can be found on Google Play and the Apple App Store, and Kindle users seem to slowly but surely be getting access to that library as well.

Amazon Drone Delivery Might Still Be Taking Off After All

Final Fantasy V is most notable for the improvements it made on the job and class system introduced earlier in the series. The mechanic allows for greater customization of the four main characters' abilities. Instead of earlier class systems in Final Fantasy, where a character would be deemed a White Mage from the get-go, Final Fantasy V lets the player level characters in specific classes, allowing them to create layered characters with different abilities, such as a Knight who has some background in using magic.

Final Fantasy V is available for download from the Amazon App Store for $15.99.
