Dragon Age Inquisition Will Have Playable Demo At PAX Prime: Attendees Will Be The First To Play Co-op Multiplayer [NEW SCREEN, TRAILER]
EA has announced that Dragon Age Inquisition's recently announced co-op multiplayer mode will be playable at PAX in Seattle.
This is actually a biggie: it'll mark the first time gamers will be able to play with friends in the Dragon Age universe! The date and place to be: August 29 - September 1 at PAX Prime in Seattle, Washington. Hands-on will be available in the Xbox Booth located at the North Hall, 4th Floor, Booths 412, 422, 432.
"For Dragon Age: Inquisition, a special team of veteran developers from the Dragon Age and Mass Effect franchises created fun, fast-paced multiplayer gameplay that requires strategic teamwork on top of Inquisition's party-based combat and extensive loot and crafting system," said Aaryn Flynn, general manager, BioWare. "It was early in the game's development that we realized how much fun fans of our series were having, with so many players teaming up in Mass Effect 3's multiplayer mode. We can't wait to give Dragon Age fans an even bigger and deeper experience."
The mode will allow four players to team up to complete a number of different quests, unlocking new characters and crafting new weapons and items as they go. At launch players will be able to unlock up to twelve characters across the three Inquisition classes of Warrior, Rogue, and Mage.
But ho! It is quite different from Mass Effect 3's multiplayer because it is, in fact, completely separate from the singleplayer campaign. Not even items you craft or trade in multiplayer can be transferred to singleplayer. This will be a nice respite from players who'd rather not bother and players who want to make in-game purchases and become master multiplayers.
Dragon Age: Inquisition will be available on November 18 on the PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC.
