Three New Assassin's Creed Rogue Screenshots Revealed; Who Needs Next-Gen With A Game Like This?

New Assassin's Creed Rogue Screens Should Keep You Happy About Not Going Next Gen For Now

Ubisoft has released several new screenshots for the upcoming Assassin's Creed Rogue and if they aren't the most iconic of images, it certainly shows off a very well rendered game.

Dead Or Alive 5 Last Round Coming Spring 2015

Though some might call it the afterthought of the highly anticipated Assassin's Creed Unity, which is due out on next-gen consoles this November, Rogue will try its best to make you listen. And so far, it has our attention. IGN had a hands on preview from the recent Gamescom and pronounced the title "one of the darkest and angriest games in the series to date, and one well worth keeping an eye on."

Rogue follows Shay Cormac, a former Assassin turned Templar who is on one hell of a revenge streak. The game is a sequel to the extremely fun Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag, and will heavily feature the ship mechanic. Several new features, including a new air rifle, ship board automatic cannons and the ability for characters to board ships during naval engagements are being introduced.

PS4 Custom Themes On Their Way With Animated Characters And Shifting Backgrounds

True to its historical roots, Rogue will take place during that oft overlooked conflict: the Seven Years War, which in my opinion is only overlooked because we already had a Hundreds' Year War a few centuries earlier. Seven seems so small when compared to 100, after all.

Check out the screens below. Assassin's Creed: Rogue hits Xbox 360 and PS3, exclusively, on November 11. Sorry owners of both current gen and next-gen systems, you are going to have to choose: Rogue or Unity. Sadly, you cannot have both on the same console.
