Latest Titanfall DLC Map Backwater Combines Your Love Of Giant Robots And Illegally Distilled Moonshine

How Do You Improve The Titanfall Experience? Moonshine! New DLC Map Backwater Does Just That

Respawn revealed a new map for the upcoming IMC Rising DLC for Titanfall. Titled Backwater, the map is based on original concepts that never found their way into the full release of the game.

Sniper Elite III Console DLC Release Schedule Revealed

The company opens the description thusly: "High in the mountains, ex-IMC pilot Barker and his fellow colonists have made a comfortable living by producing moonshine in this hidden bootlegging colony."

Moonshine and giant robots. It's like a futuristic Boardwalk Empire. The map is defined by its elevation changes and should prove to be an exciting new addition for the Titan pilots. A high hill in the middle of the map will act as a sort of 'King of the Mountain' high ground, giving those on top a better view to destroy their enemies.

Sunset Overdrive's Weekly Video: Puts The Fun In Funpocalypse

Meanwhile, the pilots get all the fun. They get ziplines! Pilots can access the lines to "cross "no-man's land" from building to building. "No-man's land" is a term we use to describe larger areas without cover between 2 lines of combat, with the intention of keeping players fighting from designed strongholds until it's time to push forward."

If, for whatever reason, a player commanding a Pilot doesn't want to use a zipline (why?), there is also an underground grain silo one can access to avoid being smooshed underneath a Titan.

Backwater is the last of three new maps for the DLC, the other two being Zone 18 and Sandtrap. No word on an official release for the IMC Rising pack, but it will hit the PC and Xbox One first this October. The 360 version will follow shortly thereafter.
