We are just under a month away from its release but Alien: Isolation has already gone gold, according to developer Creative Assembly. In honor of the game's release, the company has released the first in a new series of trailers that asks: 'How will you survive?'

The series of short vignettes, under the auspices of #HOWWILLYOUSURVIVE, will detail the many ways to get out of a hairy situation in the game. But, as the first trailer showcases, it will more likely demonstrate the myriad ways you can die a horrible, horrible death. The 30 second video evinces more fear and heart palpitations than all of Aliens: Colonial Marines. In it, you're playing the main character whose friends are being torn apart. As you turn to run, you can hear the xenomorph chasing you. It's an exquisite use of sound design.
You are not a decked out marine or Predator this time. Per the release, "In Alien: Isolation, the creature is hunting you. If it hears you, it will track down the source of the noise; if it sees you, it will pursue at speed; tackling it head-on is not for the faint-hearted. It's ruthless, relentless and unstoppable."

The series returns to its roots, the 1979 Ridley Scott film that made a star out of Sigourney Weaver. In that movie, one alien decimates the crew of an interstellar mining ship. Over 30 years later, it can still scare the hell out of anyone.
