Resident Evil: Revelations 2 New Trailer Shows Off In-Game Cinematics, Monsters

Dingy Hallways And Creepy Monsters Star In The New Resident Evil: Revelations 2 Trailer

The Resident Evil YouTube channel released the first official trailer for the upcoming episodic game Resident Evil: Revelations 2, which features an unnerving first look at the game's settings and enemies.

Resident Evil: Revelations 2 Will Be Truly Episodic

Though the game has seen concept teasers before, this new trailer offers a new look at the animation style of the game through a couple of in-game cinematics.

The trailer features protagonist Claire Redfield and her first steps out of the holding cell she mysteriously finds herself in after being abducted by some sort of heavily armed team of trained professionals. When she wakes up, she finds herself equipped with the same wristband that turned a civil dinner party into a survival horror scene in the previous teaser. Her cell door also slides open, letting her walk down a series of poorly lit hallways while she runs into many different enemy monsters in the process.

Dead Rising 3 Hits PCs

Throughout the whole trailer, different cameras are trained on our protagonist at all times, as we get to see Claire through several different grainy camera filters both at the party and in the holding facility. "Evil is watching" sounds like much more than just a tagline for this game.

Resident Evil: Revelations 2 bridges the narrative gap between Resident Evils 5 and 6. It will be sold as a truly episodic game, with a few hours of gameplay releasing each week. Each episode will cost $5.99, though a complete season pass will run players $24.99. A complete retail edition will be available sometime after the original release as well.

Resident Evil Revelations 2 will hit PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC early 2015.
