The massively addictive CCG Solforge is getting a big update. The patch will introduce a wealth of balance changes and clarification on certain cards' ability to be, in no small words, 'OP'.

The game's creator, Stone Blade, has submitted the patch notes to Apple ahead of the iOS 8 release today. The patch itself should go live no earlier than next Monday, September 22. The game recently underwent a huge update with the new Secrets of Solis content and the patch will attempt to fix any issues that have cropped up.
Among the balance and card changes, Stone Blade will also be introducing 8 new cards, which includes one Heroic and one Legendary for each of the game's four factions. Additionally, there will be four, yes four, new pre-constructed decks available at the store. The new decks will each contain one unreleased Heroic and one unreleased Legendary, so keep an eye out. We'll be sure to have deck reviews out as soon as we've all cursed each other out with such common phrases as, "That combo is complete bulls---" and "Jesus, Matt, you can't put Zimus the Undying in every deck you own!" (He can, and he does.)

Finally, a whole smattering of cards are getting minor tweaks, either stat adjustments or minor changes to how their text works. For instance, Varna's Pact (one of my personal favorites) and Lyria, Muse of Varna were occasionally bringing back cards that had been banished from the game, and not simply removed or killed. Due to how tough it is to correct the code that brings this about, the text has now been updated to reflect that any card that has left the game is now fair play to return.
For example, two of the Forge Guardians are getting updates. The Delta version no longer counts your opponent's Guardians, and the Omega will now be officially considered a Forge Guardian piece, allowing you to link it together with other cards.
