Tokyo Game Show 2014: Silent Hills Concept Video Scares The Crap Out Of You With Giant Corpses, Toy Robots [TRAILER]

The Silent Hills P.T. Was Born Out Of A Terrifying Concept Video

You may or may not have played the Silent Hills P.T. (or playable teaser), the ghastly promotional tool that revealed only at the end that it was Silent Hill-related - not to mention starring The Walking Dead fan-favorite Norman Reedus. If your nerves were just too weak to get through an admittedly pretty challenging bit of marketing material, we now have for you straight from Tokyo Game Show a minute-long concept video for the ghoulish Konami shocker.

Check Out This Scary As Hell Evil Within Tokyo Games Show Trailer

It's actually kind of funny that watching this concept video for P.T. gives you somewhat of a different experience than the P.T. itself provided. The playable trailer was an oppressive bit of atmosphere building, with the occasional jump scare punctuating this endless loop you were caught in.

Meanwhile, the concept video embedded below revealed at the Tokyo Games Show makes the game look like a crazy Sam Raimi-esque spookshow rollercoaster, going from decapitated centipede-spewing girls to a parade of spooky neon toy robots, ending in a chase scene with a giant headless corpse (!!) down a hallway. It's still pretty scary though, as not even the Tokyo Games Show host's initial chatting over it can take the edge off!

Alien: Isolation Will Offer A Survival Mode, Season Pass

Silent Hills is a collaboration between Metal Gear mastermind Hideo Kojima, Pan's Labyrinth director Guillermo del Toro and everything you ever had nightmares about. The game will be using the Fox engine. The playable trailer has already been downloaded off the PlayStation Network over a million times.
