Nintendo eShop And Virtual Console Update: Hyrule Warriors Finally Released, Last Week Of Super Smash Bros Sale, Mario Golf And More

Weekly Nintendo eShop Update: At Last, Hyrule Warriors Launches On The Wii U; Mario Golf And More!

The calendar says Thursday and that can mean only one thing: it's time to see what's new on the Nintendo eShop.

New 3DS Commerical, As In There Is A NEW 3DS

This week, it is all about Hyrule Warriors. The Dynasty Warriors/Legend of Zelda mashup has been out in Japan for over month and was released in Europe last week, but finally, it has made it to North America. Play as a number of different characters from across the Zelda mythos as you battle against a new and sinister villain, Cia. The Wii U has been lacking in killer apps (and who knows when Smash Bros is actually coming out) and this may be the first action title worth owning. You can download it tomorrow, September 26, on the Wii U eShop for $59.99. Or head on over to a store and pick up a real copy.

The big title for the 3DS this week is Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL World Duel Carnival, the very first Yu-Gi-Oh! title for the handheld system. You can choose from one of 12 characters, each with his or her own plotline and battle it out with 40 different characters from the television show. Several game modes are available, as well as over 5700 (yes, fifty seven HUNDRED) cards from the enduring series. The game is priced at $19.99. Watch the trailer here.

Star Wars: Galactic Defense iOS Tower Game Coming Soon

This is the last week of the Super Smashing sale for the 3DS, in which characters from Smash Bros have their own titles discounted. This week's character discounts include Fox McCloud, Kirby, Donkey Kong, Pikmin and Animal Crossing.

Other eShop sales this week include:

Armillo, the SPACE ARMADILLO game, is $4.99 until 8:59 a.m. PT on October 6 for the Wii U.
Spin the Bottle: Bumpie's Party, which is not as risque as you desperately want it to be, $8.39 until 8:59 a.m. PT on Oct. 12. Also for the Wii U A demo version is also out this week.
Glory of Generals is reduced from $9.99 to $6.99)= until 8:59 am PT on Oct. 9 for the 3DS.
Swords & Soldiers for the Wii U, is now $1.99 until Oct 9. All I'm told is that there are ninja monkeys, so you don't really need much more of a reason than that.

Finally, the week's other new releases are:

Mario Golf: Advance Tour (Wii U, Virtual Console) $6.99
Angry Bunnies: Colossal Carrot Crusade (Nintendo eShop on Wii U) $8.99
Darts Up (Nintendo eShop on Wii U) $2.49

Next week, it's all things Smash Bros. The game hits the eShop on October 4. Happy hunting in Hyrule until then!
