Resident Evil: Revelations 2 will be a fully episodic game. Four different episodes, each with a few hours of content, will be releasing weekly over the course of a month. Each episode will be priced at $5.99, though the entire season can be bought at once for $24.99. The complete season bundle will also come with a few extras that individual episode purchases don't include. Once all of the episodes have released, a retail version of the game will go on sale for $39.99, containing even more bonus content than the digital complete season bundle.

Co-op play in the game is entirely local. It has two players take on the role of the two leading ladies: franchise veteran Claire Redfield and Moira Burton, daughter of series standby Barry Burton. As Moira, players can blind enemies with a flashlight while Claire focuses on taking them out. Players playing by themselves will be paired with an AI ally and will be able to switch between the two characters to make their way through the levels of the survival horror title.

Some artwork for the game released yesterday also shows off the mysterious island setting where the two main characters will face off against the Afflicted, the game's main monsters that are faster and smarter than your average zombie.

Resident Evil: Revelations 2 will be hitting the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC in early 2015.
