At the opening of the New York Comic Con today Madame Tussauds New York was on hand to unveil a new addition to their wax figure lineup. They already have a few Avengers like The Hulk and Captain America, but now they have Hawkeye, and just in time to celebrate the 50th anniversary of his first Marvel Comic appearance in Tales of Suspense #57.

Marvel Goes All Out At NYCC For Their 75th Anniversary

As you can see, the likeness to Jeremy Renner's Hawkeye is uncanny. Madame Tussauds is of course very well known for their wax figures and the New York location is a huge tourist destination in Times Square, but it still wowed the crowd after its reveal and made more than a few passers-by do double takes. Even his mechanized quiver is fully featured!

If you plan on attending the NYCC, he will be available to view throughout the weekend at Midtown Comics' booth #2036. You can take all the pictures you want, but don't touch.

After his apearance this weekend Hawkeye will join other Marvel heroes like Nick Fury and Spider-man at the Marvel 4D Experience in the Madame Tussauds Times Square location. If you ever wondered if you were taller than Jeremy Renner (that's the thing wax figures are most useful for, right?) head on down there- it's a surprisingly fun place.
