Today is "Marvel Day," Marvel's celebration of its 75th anniversary at New York Comic Con. Marvel is providing a huge creator signing and a day full of panels for congoers, but they're throwing in a little something for those of us who can't be there.

Marvel is offering a new promotion for anyone interested in trying out Marvel Unlimited Pro, the upgraded version of Marvel's program that gives members access to digital copies of more than 15,000 comics from throughout the company's history. A yearly subscription to Unlimited Pro usually costs $99, but Marvel is lowering that price to $69 for anyone who signs up with the promo code SAVE30.
This offer only lasts until October 16, so if you were on the fence about whether to jump into Marvel's Unlimited program, now might be a good time to make up your mind. This discounted price for Marvel Ultimate Pro is actually the regular price for a yearly subscription of the basic Unlimited package, which is not discounted in this offer. So if you're looking at getting into Marvel Unlimited, you might as well go Pro for the same price and cancel it, if you want to, when the year is up.
Marvel Ultimate Pro includes a couple of extra goodies that regular Unlimited members don't receive. These include a Rocket Raccoon figurine, two Rocket Raccoon comic books, Marvel Shop discounts and invitations to special events. You can find the nitty-gritty details here.
As with most of these kinds of promotions, you'll start paying regular price for a Pro membership once your discounted year is up unless you cancel the subscription before then. As another note, this promotion is only for new customers and members who have since cancelled their account.
