Geralt of Rivia Takes To The High Seas In 'The Witcher: Fox Children', New Comic Series From Dark Horse

The Witcher III: Wild Hunt is being released next February 24. The open world game will keep you occupied for a good long while, but it cannot last forever. What is to be done once you've finished the game a second time? What will fill the Geralt of Rivia sized hole in your heart? Thankfully, CD Projekt Red is once again teaming up with Dark Horse Comics to bring the next adventure of the world's premier supernatural hunter, The Witcher: Fox Children.

The Witcher III: Wild Hunt - DLC Should Be Free!

The first issue of the new series will hit shelves on April 15. Fox Children will find Geralt onboard a mysterious ship where he has to deal with scoundrels, brigands, criminals and one can imagine, a healthy dose of the supernatural. The story is being written by Paul Tobin, who penned the original comic, The Witcher: House Of Glass; now available in trade paperback.

The comic will be illustrated by Joe Querio, who also inked the House of Glass storyline.

Also arriving in March is The World of the Witcher hard cover compendium. "Dive deep into the world of monster hunters, as prominent characters from The Witcher take you on a guided tour of the fascinating dark-fantasy adventure." The illustrated guide contains features an encyclopedic knowledge of the locations, monsters and characters you can expect to come across in your travels.

The Witcher III: Wild Hunt will put whatever PC system you've cobbled together to the test. CD Projekt Red has developed an entirely new game engine to run the open-world title; an engine they promise will require absolutely no load screens. Whatever you are running, it will not be fast enough. Sure, you could play it on the PS4 or Xbox One, but then you'd be 'one of those' and how can you show off just how jaw-droppingly beautiful Wild Hunt is? Simple: you can't.
