Five Nights At Freddy's 2 Announced Already? Terrifying Indie Game Seeks Steam Greenlight For 2015 With New Characters, No Doors [TRAILER]

Can You Survive Another Five Nights At Freddy's? Find Out In 2015, When The Sequel Comes To Steam

Five Nights At Freddy's, probably one of the scariest game experiences of the year (sorry, Alien: Isolation and The Evil Within) was just released in August. The experience was akin to everyone's worst fear about animatronic animals and pastiche restaurants. Naturally, there's going to be a sequel.

The page just went up on Steam Greenlight. "In Five Nights at Freddy's 2, the old and aging animatronics are joined by a new cast of characters. They are kid-friendly, updated with the latest in facial recognition technology, tied into local criminal databases, and promise to put on a safe and entertaining show for kids and grown-ups alike!"

The game is due out in 2015 if enough people vote for it (and they surely will), and will introduce a new camouflage element: a Freddy Fazbear head, which you, the new security guard can put on to fool the murderous animatronic monstrosities roaming the halls. It sure beats being stuffed into one against your will and left to rot. I mean, nobody ever said the animals were 'smart', they're just cunning, bloodthirsty and completely amoral.

Even worse? There are no more doors.

Five Nights At Freddy's received massive support from the community for such a fresh take on the concept (the mobile release Republique works in a similar fashion) and seems precisely what indie games should be. Leave the space marines and FPS to the big boys, they aren't hurting.
